Henry Brandts-Giesen

Henry is a lawyer focused on private wealth planning, family office design and governance, family business succession, trust law, fiduciary risk management, family/private wealth/relationship property related dispute resolution, residency by investment, foreign direct investment, cross-border wealth structuring, transitional residency tax planning, private funds, strategic philanthropy, captive insurance, global tax reporting and compliance, and financial regulation relating to private wealth.

Henry is general counsel and strategic advisor to family offices, investor migrants and foreign investors, multi-family offices and trust companies, entrepreneurs and family businesses, private fund managers and LPs, philanthropists and grantmakers, and athletes and sports agents.

Henry is jurisdictionally neutral and operates globally to develop global strategies and provide/procure global solutions for global clients from within and beyond the Dentons platform.


Vikna Rajah

Vikna Rajah is an Equity Partner, Executive Management Committee member and Head of the Tax, Trust & Private Client Department at Rajah & Tann (Singapore) LLP.

Vikna advises clients on complex income tax, GST, stamp duty, property tax and tax treaty issues, and specialises in contentious civil tax disputes with IRAS, tax structuring and criminal tax litigation. He has a track record of successfully and effectively resolving multi-million-dollar disputes with IRAS and is regularly instructed by multi-national companies, other top-tier law firms and Big 4 accounting firms.


Denise Honey

Denise is a Partner/Executive Director in the Tax Advisory Group within Pitcher Partners, where she leads international tax in Melbourne. Denise’s key area of specialty is in international tax, and she regularly advises on inbound and outbound structuring, financing arrangements and transfer pricing.

Denise is actively engaged in key industry bodies, including as: a member of the Tax Treaties Advisory Panel, a member of the Executive Committee of the IFA Australian branch and an Australian WIN representative of IFA.


Chair

Shaun Cartoon

Shaun advises a range of clients, including ASX listed companies, high-net-worth individuals and large private groups. Shaun practices in corporate, international and employment taxes, with particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures and employee share schemes. He also assists clients to navigate complex tax disputes with the Australian Taxation Office and has litigated significant cases through the Australian courts.

Shaun has been ranked in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a Band 1 Next Generation Partner in Tax and is also recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a leading tax lawyer. Shaun has been recognised as a ‘star’ advisor in employee share schemes by the Global Equity Organization and was selected to join its inaugural class of Fellows. Shaun’s clients describe him as having “a strong command of technical detail and the ability to apply this to complex situations in a pragmatic and commercial manner”.
