On 1 July 2021, 131 members of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework (including Australia and 90% of the world economy) agreed to a “Two Pillars” international tax proposal.

Our Panel will discuss and debate the plan and its implications in Australia and internationally.

Chair: Chloe Burnett SC

Chloe Burnett SC (NSW Bar) Chloe is a member of the NSW Bar specialising in tax law and an Adjunct Lecturer at Sydney Law School. She is an active member of IFA and for the last three years chaired the Recent Developments panel at the global IFA Congress. Chloe is the Vice-President of the IFA Australia Branch.

Speaker: Maryanne Mrakovcic

Maryanne Mrakovcic (Treasury) Maryanne is the Deputy Secretary, Revenue Group at Treasury responsible for advising the Australian Government on all taxation policy matters, revenue forecasting and the Treasury portfolio legislation program. Maryanne has also represented Australia at the OECD Inclusive Framework since 2016, became a member of the Steering Group in January 2020, and Vice-Chair in January 2021, where she has been actively involved in the development of the “Two Pillars” international tax reforms.

Speaker: Ann-Maree Wolff

Ann-Maree Wolff (Rio Tinto) Ann-Maree is Global Head of Tax at Rio Tinto responsible for all tax matters relevant to Rio Tinto. Ann-Maree is extensively involved in tax policy development both directly with policymakers and via taxpayer and industry associations like the International Council on Mining & Metals.

Speaker: Heydon Wardell-Burrus

Heydon Wardell-Burrus (Australian Taxation Office) Heydon is Acting Assistant Commissioner, Policy, Analysis and Legislation at the ATO and is completing his DPhil at Oxford University on Global Minimum Taxes.
