Speaker: David Rosenbloom
Professor H David Rosenbloom is the director of the International Tax Program at New York University Law School and a member of leading firm Caplin & Drysdale in Washington DC. David previously served as International Tax Counsel and Director, Office of International Tax Affairs, in the US Treasury Department and as a tax policy adviser for the US Treasury, the OECD, AID, and the World Bank in Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, Senegal, Malawi, and South Africa.
David’s major areas of practice include international tax controversies, transfer pricing planning and disputes, advance pricing agreements, the foreign tax credit, tax treaties, financial products and financial institutions, and international aspects of corporate and individual tax planning. He is has acted as an expert on US international tax in numerous cases in Australia and elsewhere, and is the author of numerous articles on international tax issues. David will be teaching International Taxation in the US in the Tax Masters program at the Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne.

Miranda is Professor of Law at the Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne where she is Director of Tax Studies and the Melbourne Centre for Commercial Law. Miranda is an Honorary Professor at the Tax and Transfer Policy Institute, Crawford School of Public Policy, The Australian National University and is Vice-Chair of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association and a member of the Executive Committee of the IFA Australian branch.
Miranda engages in research, policy advice and teaching across a wide range of tax law and policy topics. Her latest books are Tax and Government in the 21st Century (Cambridge University Press, 2022), and Income Taxation Commentary and Materials (with Graeme Cooper, Michael Dirkis and Richard Vann, Thomson Reuters, 10th ed., 2022)
